Lluvia (Juvia) Meneses is a purpose-driven professional whose career has taken a unique, horizontal path shaped by curiosity, creativity, and a strong commitment to community impact. Rather than following a conventional vertical trajectory, she has explored multiple disciplines—anchored by three core passions: supporting communities, working with data, and improving processes for greater efficiency.
Her journey began with a deep desire to support others, especially newcomers navigating the challenges of settling in a new country. One of her proudest accomplishments is founding Latin Runners, a nonprofit created to help newcomer women build community, confidence, and leadership.
Today, Lluvia continues to nurture communities through her volunteer work as Program and People Leader at Data for Good, where she leads the Customer Development Team. In less than 6 months, this team has successfully onboarded 26 nonprofit data projects. She finds joy in connecting like-minded individuals, mentoring young professionals, and helping newcomers build their careers in Canada through meaningful volunteer opportunities.
Her second passion—data—was sparked early in her career during a close collaboration with IT and the functional side of the business. This is her she first encountered SQL, KPIs, and dashboards. That moment inspired her to pursue formal training, earning an Applied Data Analytics Certificate from BCIT.
Rounding out her journey is a strong passion for process improvement. Lluvia is energized by solving inefficiencies and optimizing workflows—whether through automation, systems implementation, or better training. This passion led her to earn a Business Analytics Certificate at SFU soon after arriving in Canada.
After pausing her data career for nearly a decade to raise her two daughters, support her husband’s IT consulting business, and grow Latin Runners, Lluvia returned to the professional world with even greater drive. She brings her ambition, creativity, and curiosity into every role—thriving in fast-paced, value-based environments where collaboration and impact go hand in hand.
Now stepping into a new Business Analyst role, she’s excited to bring her full spectrum of experience to help organizations bridge business needs with smart systems and modern processes. Lluvia is known as a community-builder, mentor, and results-oriented leader who uplifts others while consistently delivering value that exceeds expectations.
