How to See Referral Traffic in GA4

Referral traffic in GA4 refers to visitors from external websites. For example, if visitors click your website URL on Instagram or from an external blog link, they’re considered referral traffic. It’s important to monitor referral traffic to understand which online platforms are contributing to your website’s performance. Here’s how you can view referral traffic in your GA4 property.

  1. Go to Acquisition > Traffic acquisition > Enter Referral in the Search bar

  3. Select Session Source / Medium

  4. Once Selected, GA4 Will Display the Source / Medium of Your Referral Traffic
